Sustainability Ph.D. Community

The Sustainability Ph.D. Community is a recently founded online community open to all Ph.D. students whose interest lies at the intersection between organizations and the natural environment. The Community is a platform self-organized by doctoral students. We think that now, more than ever, it is important not to feel isolated and to keep and develop relationships with peers.

Under the auspices of the Organizations and the Natural Environment (ONE) Division of the Academy of Management and the Group for Research on Organizations and the Natural Environment (GRONEN), we created a community among doctoral students that, more than two years after its creation, already consists of over 500 members from all over the world—and it is growing fast! The Community aims to provide feedback on each other’s work, get to know each other, find new collaborations, share opportunities and initiatives relevant to our field, find new conference buddies, and build long-lasting relationships.

We aim to meet every other month either to discuss the research work of one or more community members or to have guest speaker sessions. For guest speaker sessions, faculty and other special guests will be involved in sessions such as past events like “Navigating the Job Market,” “Meet the Associations” events, and “Meet the Editors.”
