    Dear friends and colleagues,

    our NBS Teaching Climate Series is gaining huge momentum with hundreds of registrations from al over the world! 

    A summary of the materials discussed during the first event on Carbon management can be found here.

    The second session in the NBS Climate Series is taking place on Friday, Feb 23 at 11am EST / 5pm CET.

    If you are registered for the second event, you should have received a calendar invitation with the Zoom link for this event. If you haven't been able to receive the calendar invite, please contact alitchfield@nbs.net.     Please join the live event (with your camera on if you can) to engage with others, share your ideas, and build community. Some materials and recordings will be distributed following the event as well.
     
    Session Details
    This session will feature an introduction by Isabel Rimanoczy, whose work and research focus on the Sustainability Mindset. Below are the three presenters scheduled to share their teaching approaches. Presentations will be short, allowing lots of room for Q&A and then breakout discussion. Presenting on: Sustainability Mindset Indicator, an assessment taken before and after sustainability teaching interventions to understand their impact (on concepts including paradoxical thinking, circular economy, systems thinking). Presenting on: Zero Waste at Home.  A semester-long activity where students examine the impact of the waste they produce at home. As part of this activity, they learn the 5 R's, design their home recycling area, and participate in recycling campaigns at the institution. Presenting on: Climate Psychology and Leadership. A lecture providing an overview of prominent psychology and social psychology subtopics that can contribute to (mis)managing climate change: attitudes and behaviors, decision biases, and leadership.
