Business Administration with a focus on Innovation and Sustainable Management (Prof. Dr. Marcus Wagner) from 1 October 2023/as soon as possible thereafter to fill a position for a

Research Assistant (m/f/d)

(remuneration up to pay group 13 TV-L)

in the scope of the regular working hours in an employment relationship limited to an initial period of three years. This position can be varied as part-time employment. The possibility of a doctorate or habilitation is given. An extension of the employment is possible if the prerequisites are met.

Your profile: You have completed or are about to complete an academic degree programme at Master's level, ideally with a specialisation in innovation and/or sustainability. Alternatively, you are about to complete a doctorate with a similar focus. You have good statistical knowledge (especially multi-level modelling or structural equation modelling) or in machine learning methods (especially using Python) and are fluent in written and spoken English.

Your motives: Acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge has made you curious about empirical research. You would like to present your research results for discussion at international conferences and publish them in high-ranking journals. You enjoy sharing knowledge and findings to interested audiences and working in a team. You want to develop your professional, methodological, and personal skills for a successful career and be able to signal this by completing a doctorate or habilitation.

Your tasks: You will choose the topic of your doctoral project in close coordination with the research topics of the chair (including international sustainability management and sustainability innovations) and in this way contribute to shaping them. You will participate in the collection and analysis of data in international teams and contribute with new ideas to the improvement of the processes at our department.

The University of Augsburg is one of the modern full universities in Germany and has Faculty of Economics with strong research. In addition to business administration and economics, specialized degree programmes such as Global Business Management and German-French Management are offered. The research programme of our chair is in the field of theory-based empirical research. Our teaching programme trains future managers and our activities focus on an intensive exchange between theory and practice.
