Assistant Professor Position – Corporate Environmental Management

The Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management (www.bren.ucsb.edu) invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Corporate Environmental Management. Corporate Environmental Management is a specialization within the Masters of Environmental Science and Management as well as part of the PhD program at the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Bren</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">School</st1:placename></st1:place>. The position would begin July 1, 2009.
We are particularly interested in firms' strategies that address environmental performance, regulation, and stakeholder interaction. Applicants will be expected to have a strong research agenda, to publish in leading peer reviewed journals, and to be dedicated teachers. Other activities include outreach activities with the business community and participation in Eco-entrepreneurship, a curriculum offered in collaboration with the Technology Management Program in the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">College</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Engineering</st1:placename></st1:place>. All applicants must have a PhD by July 1, 2009.
The <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">Bren</st1:placename> <st1:placename w:st="on">School</st1:placename></st1:place> is a graduate school providing rigorous, multi-disciplinary research and education in environmental science and management for Masters and Ph.D. students. The faculty is drawn from the natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, and management. Collaborative research and teaching across disciplines is valued and encouraged.
