    ONE Folks:

I am in the process of finalizing readings for the second edition of
Environmental Management: Readings and Cases. There are several areas where
I am having a hard time finding just the right reading for the advanced
undergrad/MBA audience. The topic areas are:
    - Partnerships between companies and NGOs
    - Green entrepreneurship
    - The triple bottom Line
    - Transparency

If you know of excellent readings in one or more of these areas, could you
send along a reference to me privately at mrusso@lcbmail.uoregon.edu?

    Thanks very much!

Two immediate book sources which have been recommended by others to me
include "Profit for Life" by Joseph Bragdon (Society for Organizational
Learning) and "The Triple Bottom Line: Does
it all add up?" edited by Adrian Henriques & Julie Richardson (Earthscan)...

    Hello Mike

Have a look at my book: The Sustainable Way. It is at:
    http://intergon.net/tsw

The book is based on my PhD research: http://intergon.net/phd

    The research was about how CEOs deal with sustainability issues;
leadership and management approaches of a number of CEO in a wide range
of industries led to the development of my framework. Each CEO
participating in my PhD could be used as a case; I have written some
papers that treat as cases. A summary of the framwork on a single page
    is at: http://intergon.net/tsw/sustainableCEOs.pdf

    Mike,

On Green Entrepreneurship, I really like the paper by Dean and McMullen that
was just published in the Journal of Business Venturing.

Toward a theory of sustainable entrepreneurship: Reducing environmental
    degradation through entrepreneurial action
Thomas J. Dean and Jeffery S. McMullen

    Mike,
Barbara Parker and I have a review article on cross-sector social
partnerships in Journal of Management, 31(6), 2005. It alludes to
*environmental* partnerships but does not focus on them.

    Good luck,
    John

    Mike,

On partnerships, see BSE journal 14:4 July/August 2005 (Wiley), coming out
of the GIN2004 conference "Partnerships for Sustainable Development". For
    example:

CSOs and business partnerships: strategies for interaction (p 230-240)
    Jenny Ählström, Emma Sjöström

    Also this book:

Hi Mike. I guess I might as well chime in, since every time I see a reply to the list for you, my first reaction is that it must be for me anyway.

Here's a whole list of readings on the environment and sustainability that I'm sure your students would enjoy:

Feel free to use them at your pleasure / peril.

    Dear Mike:

On green entrepreneurship I use this article a lot in teaching:

Schaltegger, Stefan. 2002. A Framework for Ecopreneurship: Leading
Bioneers and Environmental Managers to Ecopreneurship. Greener
    Management International, 2002(38): 45-58.

On triple bottom line you may want to have a look at this article of
ours which I have heard is used in teaching at several schools:

Dyllick, Thomas, & Hockerts, Kai N. 2002. Beyond the Business Case for
Corporate Sustainability. Business Strategy and the Environment, 11
    (2): 130-141.

    Best
