This PDW bridges the emerging divide between theory
and
practice with respect to
business
and
human
rights
by incorporating management studies into the BHR debate. The PDW contribution is manifold: First, we have invited scholars from several management disciplines,
business
and
society, international management,
and
organization studies to share their perspectives
and
questions on BHR. Second, through the use of research incubators, we hope to generate a conversation by discussing the multiple perspectives on BHR from ethics
and
management scholars. Third, we hope to find common leverage points for future research
and
discuss how to integrate BHR across the disciplines. Lastly, we hope that this PDW moves us forward in achieving our long term goal of establishing the groundwork for developing a more cohesive field in the broad management area concerning BHR.
