The Environmental Consortium of Hudson Valley Colleges & Universities presents its 5th annual conference <http://environmentalconsortium.org/news/january2008conference/home.htm> . Please join us at Fordham University (Rose Hill Campus), Bronx, NY, to engage in an intellectual examination of the scientific, socio-political, and educational issues surrounding climate change as it affects the Hudson Valley, and to explore higher education's role in addressing the issues at individual campuses.
HIGHLIGHTS:
* Michael Oppenheimer, Professor of Geosciences and International Affairs at Princeton University and lead author of the IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report, will deliver the opening keynote on Friday, January 25th.
* Roundtable - Political and Cultural Response: The Problem of the Problem, moderated by Andrew Revkin, reporter on the environment for The New York Times.
* Panel - Manhattan to Lake Tear of the Clouds: Impacts on the Hudson Valley.
* Climate Change Curriculum Module Roll-Out (toolkit for faculty and an invaluable resource for students to use at Focus the Nation events on their campus).
