Call for Papers: ETH PhD Academy for Sustainability and Technology,
"Climate Change, Uncertainty, and Strategic Management",
    January 27 - February 1, 2008 (Application Deadline: Oct. 15, 2007)

    Dear colleagues

I am happy to announce the call for papers to the second ETH PhD Academy for Sustainability and Technology - "Climate Change, Uncertainty, and Strategic Management", from January 27 - February 1, 2008, at ETH Zurich (Switzerland). We build on the successful first ETH PhD Academy that we conducted earlier this year and that brought together 15 international PhD students and three professors for one week in the Swiss alps.
The aim of the academy is to promote excellent PhD research in the fields of Corporate Strategy and Carbon Markets, Risk Management and Carbon Constraints, and Clean Technologies and Innovation. Four days of the curriculum will focus on discussing the research designs and methodologies of participants' PhD projects. On the final day we will discuss the topic with leading business representatives. Feedback will be given by peers and our faculty:

Prof. Dr. Pratima Bansal (University of Western Ontario, Canada)
Prof. Dr. Andrew Griffiths (University of Queensland, Australia)
Prof. Dr. Volker Hoffmann (ETH Zurich, Switzerland)

The academy is supported by Holcim, a world-leading producer of building materials, the Swiss Academy of Sciences, and oikos. The deadline for submission of abstracts is Oct 15, 2007. PhD candidates will be informed about acceptance by November 1, 2007. Final papers must be submitted by December 20, 2007. For a call for papers, please visit
