Politics & Environment Education Project
--Please forward to interested colleagues--
With the election on everyone's mind, environmental educators are on the look out for ways to engage our students in a non-partisan understanding of US environmental politics. The Politics and Environment Education Project has recruited volunteer academic and NGO experts willing to give non-partisan talks on environmental politics, at no charge, in states across the country. Click here to find a speaker near you Please contact me if you would like to get in touch with one of these speakers, would like to sign up to be a speaker yourself, or just want more information.
Talks can be a public lecture, a brown bag, or for a class.
My version of the talk focuses on how the US moved from an era of bipartisan compromise and global policy leadership, to an era of partisan gridlock, and what the future might hold. Entitled: "Republicans, Democrats and Sustainability: Recovering Bipartisan Environmental Politics", you can see
an on-line webinar version here. I still have a few days left in my fall schedule for talks within Bard's NY/NJ/CT/MA 4-hour commuting shadow, so please drop me a note if you are "local" and interested.
In addition,
The Bard Center for Environmental Policy is also focusing our fall webinar series on the general topic of Politics and the Environment: the format is 15 minutes of presentation followed by 45 minutes of Q&A.

Eban
