Position:
The NorthStar Initiative for Sustainable Enterprise (NISE) at the Institute on the Environment (IonE) is now inviting applications from qualified candidates working in interdisciplinary fields associated with sustainability. The position is a twelve-month, 100% time, appointment at a rank commensurate with experience. Fellows are expected to be in residence to participate in the intellectual life of the Institute, and to devote time to targeted and independent research. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to cutting edge, stakeholder-driven research projects developed through a unique collaborative of corporate, non-profit, government, and university participants. Fellows are trained by and work in conjunction with IonE/NISE mentors and other NorthStar Fellows who advise the collaborative development of the research and training agenda. Responsibilities generally involve participation in the design, implementation, and evaluation of research projects. The appointee will also participate in preparation and presentation of data; and author, co-author, and otherwise collaborate on reports, conference papers, publications, or other demonstratable project outputs. Significant leadership development training will also be provided.

Qualifications:
Required: Ph.D. and demonstrated experience and interest in industrial ecology, energy/environmental policy, corporate sustainability, operations research, environmental systems analytics (LCA, SD, ABM, FCA, etc.), or environmental sciences and engineering is preferred. Advanced degree must be obtained by date of appointment. Successful candidates will have a strong track record of accomplishments and productive scientific training, experience within an interdisciplinary setting and demonstrated interest in working collaboratively with external practitioner partners.
Salary and Rank:
Rank and salary are commensurate with academic credentials and experience.
