Graduate Programs in Sustainability (Bard GPS) at Bard College are now accepting applications for all masters programs for fall 2018. Bard's Graduate Programs in Sustainability offer students specializations in Policy (changing the rules), Sustainable Business ("transforming the game") and Education ("changing minds").
Degrees available:
Bard's masters graduates are working at NGO's, in start-ups, established businesses, and government agencies, as social entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs sustainability consultants, advocates and educators. Bard GPS has a 92% job placement rate in environmental/sustainability/education sectors.
MBA in Sustainability Program Features:
- 60 credit MBA program
- full-time (2 years) and part-time (3 years) enrollment options
- Hybrid, low-residency structure:
- In-person classes 1 weekend per month in NYC
- Live online classes 2 nights per week
- Curated curriculum fully integrating sustainability into core business curriculum
- Yearlong sustainability consulting course working with clients such as Unilever, Etsy, Eileen Fisher, UBS, Lockheed Martin, HSBC and more
- Entrepreneurial, intreprenurial, or consulting Capstone Project
MS in Environmental or Climate Policy Program Features:
- 60 credit, 19 month program
- Interdisciplinary, integrated first-year curriculum covering:
- Environmental science of natural and built environments
- Natural resource and environmental economics
- Environmental law
- Environmental, food, and energy policy
- Climate science
- Climate and water, climate and agroecology
- Statistics and econometrics
- GIS
- Communication
- Immersive trip to study international development in Oaxaca, Mexico
- 4-6 month extended professional internship
- Yearlong Master's Project/Thesis
- Option to incorporate Peace Corps service in MS degree
M.Ed. in Environmental Education Program Features:
- 50 credit, 19 month program
- Interdisciplinary, integrated first-year curriculum covering environmental science, environmental education, curriculum building and assessment, communication, sustainability management and policy
- Place-based field education immersive in Adirondacks
- 4-6 month extended professional internship
- Yearlong Master's Project/Thesis
