This session of the first joint meeting of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the American Philosophical Society in collaboration with The National Academy of Sciences and The Library of Congress was held in the auditorium of the National Academy of Sciences.

    FOR USAers: CSPAN (a channel in the <st1:country-region w:st="on">USA</st1:country-region>) has special program on global warming with wonderful symposia at the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">National</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Academy</st1:placetype></st1:place> of Sciences now (5:36pm).  I have no idea how long this program will run but I recommend you tune in if you can now.
