For those of you in the NJ/NY/PA/CT area, you might be interested in this higher education regional climate change event being held next Friday, 25 September at Ramapo College (located on the border of NY and NJ).
Highlights will be a panel of four college presidents talking about why they signed the American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) to make their campuses "climate-neutral" over the coming years, a presentation by AASHE on the AASHE Sustainability Tracking and Assessment System (STARS) rating system that rates the sustainability of colleges and universities, and a case study of the first university in NJ to go to 100% renewable energy. In the afternoon there will be roundtables on adding sustainability to curriculum, facilities and campus culture/student life, and you are all welcome to attend, as are NGO representatives, students, faculty, sustainability coordinators and administrators interested in campus sustainability!
Feel free to re-distribute the agenda to potential interested parties.
    regards,
    John Cusack
    Executive Director, NJHEPS
Adjunct Finance Professor, Hagan School of Business, Iona College
