Dear All;
We are currently accepting applications from doctoral students to
participate in a 3-day workshop on Business and Global Governance for
Sustainable Development. The workshop is organized by the Center for
Development and the Environment (SUM) at the University of Oslo and will
take place in Oslo, April 14-16 2008. Participating doctoral students are
provided room and board in Oslo for the duration of the workshop.
Lectures and seminars will be led by Dr. Robert Falkner (LSE) and Prof.
Peter Newell (UEA) alongside SUM staff, and will expose participants to
different theoretical perspectives within the study of international
relations on how business influences global governance, with a focus on
global environmental issues. Teaching will be based on lectures with case
studies, and discussion seminars. Participating doctoral students will
also be able to present papers and get feedback from these leading
academics in the field.
