The Importance of Climate Change to Companies Worldwide According to a recent McKinsey survey, a majority of global executives regard climate change as strategically important to many of their key decisions. 60% say climate change is a very important or somewhat important element for their companies to consider in overall corporate strategy. This feeling is most widespread in developed Asia, China, and Europe, where 71%, 68%, and 65% of executives, respectively, agree. Likely reflecting increased public concern about climate change, 68% of the respondents reported that climate change is very important or somewhat important in managing corporate reputation and brand.
