    To My Friends and Colleagues,

On behalf of my colleagues, Jay Golden at Arizona State University, Lincoln Pratson from Duke University, Larry Walker  from Cornell University and Jeff Tester of MIT, we write to encourage you to have interested students apply for the 3rd annual Sustainable Energy Fellowship.

To be held on the campus of the University of Michigan 30 May to 6 June 2009, this special event supports up to 40 of the most outstanding U.S. graduate and undergraduate students from around the country to explore the technical, organizational, policy and economic imperatives of conventional and renewable energy in our country.  Partial funding to cover travel, dorm and per diem is provided and upon completion the students receive the designation of Sustainable Energy Fellow.

We encourage you to have your most outstanding students (Juniors who will be seniors next fall and / or 1st year master students of all disciplines) to apply on-line at www.TeachEnergy.org where they can download and submit the required documents and learn more about the Sustainable Energy Fellowship. Please pass along to your colleagues.

Thank you for encouraging your students to apply for this great opportunity
