Draft Letter to EPA on Corporate Disclosure of Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule

  • 1.  Draft Letter to EPA on Corporate Disclosure of Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule

    Posted 05-20-2009 20:49

    Dear Colleagues:

The attached letter is being submitted to EPA as a comment to the proposed Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule.  The comment is simple:  EPA's proposal should include a company identifier with each facility-level report. This information would dramatically decrease the cost and increase the availability and reliability of corporate-level information for researchers and investors to judge the carbon footprint of corporations.

If you are interested in adding your name to this growing list of researchers and users of EPA data, please let me know by June 8, 2009.  These comments will be submitted to the EPA Docket, due June 9, 2009.   Note that if your name is currently included in this draft, there is no need to respond unless you wish to withdraw your support for this letter.  Otherwise, I shall assume that your earlier expression of interest stands.

Feel free to share this with colleagues.

    Many thanks!

    Mark
