Bonjour,
Wonder if respected members of ONE could help me define whether business
relationships between CDM partners could be termed as strategic alliance.
I have been working on testing the relationship between alliance network
and technology transfer under clean development mechanism.
In CDM projects, there are many entities (project developers, project
hosts, project consultants etc.) both private, for and not for profit, and
government entities that are involved. Motives of each of them to enter
into this relationship could be different.
Can we define the relationship between those organizations (profit+profit,
porift+ not for profit organizations)who enter into CDM projects for any
purpose (e.g. buying carbon credits, advising/consulting to project hosts
and developers, arranging financing etc.) as "straegic alliance", if their
relationship lasts beyond some threshold level (e.g. more than 3/5 years)?
One argument for defining this relationship as strategic alliance, relates
to benefits of technology transferred from developed country's entity to
CDM host (Seres, haites, Murphy, 2009). Means can relationship between
entities of those CDM projects could be termed as straetgic alliance, when
technology is transferred from developed to developing countries' entities.
Looking forward to hear from kind members of ONE.
Best Regards,
