Greetings Colleagues:
The current political outcomes experienced in Washington over this
past month are a product in part of not successfully demonstrating a
strong enough economic development analysis towards a sustainable
future.
As practioners and scholars in these fields we all share responsible for
not making a strong enough scientific / business case for a sustainable
future and readily converting that result into effective public policy.
My questions for therefore for each of you today are:
1. Where are the gaps in a more complete economic development
analysis placing a 350PPM / Ozone Smog reducing atmosphere
front and center?
2. How will this be implememented to address and satisfy the
key interests of environmentalists, big business, the oil and gas
industry and both short/Long range strategic goals of all political
parties while ensuring key climate, employment, and other
critical economic, social, and environmental agenda items are
completed ahead of schedule?
I respectfully appreciate both your time and thoughtful
consideration of these questions. I remain very interested
to learn of your resourceful suggestions for better
approaches to related plans, policy, and political common
sense strategies to bind our shared interests once more
as a country and Democracy closer together.
Sincerly,
Tony
