Assistant Professor – Department of Organizational Studies
The Department of Organizational Studies at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of Business and Society (Posting No. 0811994). The appointment begins no later than August 13, 2012 subject to budgetary approval. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
The Anderson School is AACSB accredited. Its management programs enroll approximately 1000 undergraduate students and 500 graduate students. The School emphasizes collaborative student interaction, active adult learning, team experiences, and scholarship that draws upon a variety of methodologies and subject areas. Minimum qualifications: Applicants must (a) currently have or anticipate completing a Ph.D. in business and society, business ethics, or a closely related field by appointment start date; (b) provide evidence of or promise of a significant program of research and scholarship; and (c) have teaching experience related to business and society and/or closely related fields.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
* Publications in scholarly journals on topics related to business and society and/or business ethics.
* Evidence of excellence in teaching core and elective courses in business and society, business ethics, or a closely related field at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels.
* Experience in working successfully with multicultural constituencies.
