Dear Colleagues,
Do you have undergraduates or graduate students working on issues at the intersection of Asian and Environmental Studies? Are you interested in supporting more student work in this area?
With support from the Henry Luce Foundation, The Bard Center for Environmental Policy will sponsor an annual mid-April conference to showcase student research exploring environmental, resource and urban issues in Asia. In November we will issue a first call for proposals to undergraduate and graduate students to present their work. I am writing to give you a heads up, so that you can alert interested students to consider participating, and encourage them to apply to their student governments or other sources for travel funds. In addition, we are seeking faculty at other institutions who would be interested in serving on the Advisory Committee for the conference, to help promote the opportunity, review submissions, and advise student presenters. Funds for travel and lodging to attend the conference at Bard's campus in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY will be provided for Advisory Committee members. If you are interested to learn more, please drop me a line at ebangood@bard.edu.
Thanks for your consideration-
Eban
