Dear Colleagues:
Please join us for a debate on the issue of fossil fuel divestment. Since the beginning of the fossil fuel divestment movement in 2011, an increasing number of academic institutions, foundations and other bodies such as religious organisations have announced that they will be divesting their investment in fossil fuel companies. These announcements have sparked an unprecedented response both positive and negative amongst stakeholders.

Fossil Fuel Divestment: Confluence between Policy and Strategic Viewpoints Fossil Fuel Divestment
The PDW seeks to examine the topic of divestment and the divestment movement, the science behind the issue and strategic responses both policy and organisational. The PDW seeks to identify, develop, and theoretically examine the arguments behind the divestment. The question that this workshop asks is whether a confluence between stakeholder-driven, policy-driven and organisational responses is beginning to emerge that will lead to greater action on climate change and transitions from fossil fuels towards renewable resources of energy.
Pre-registration is required for this workshop. The deadline to register online is August 7, 2015.
