Dear ONE Members and Those Interested in ONE Activities,
Attached is the flyer for the ONE Social, to be held Monday evening from 6:30-9:30 at the Simon Fraser University Segal School of Business, near the Convention Center. A map is inset in the flyer.
The Social is designed to be a community building and an issue-sharing event. We will open with some thoughts about our twenty year journey as a division. We will then encourage participants, as they mingle, to share amongst themselves their thoughts about this journey and our next twenty years. Appetizers will be served, non-alcoholic beverages are free and a cash & ticket bar will be available. (Note that drink tickets will be handed out at the end of the ONE Business Meeting.)
Just before 8:30 p.m., as the Social wraps up,the Git Hayestsk Dancers will perform some of their cultural dances for us. Twenty years ago at UBC's Museum of Anthropology, dancing also punctuated the Social's end. As before, in the last fifteen minutes or so, attendees will be encouraged to join the dancing.
