Just released:
Dow and the Circular Economy: Trash to Treasure?
This case is about the sustainability and advocacy manager at The Dow Chemical Company and the plastics-to-energy pilot program she oversaw in 2014 in Citrus Heights, California. Dow is looking at ways to create a circular economy for its products and is taking a long-term view of its resources and the state of the world. The company finds there are many challenges to overcome in implementing a waste-to-energy program in the community, such as partnering with a waste collection service, getting approval of the local government, and having the program accepted by the local population.
