Dear ONErs,
I would like you to draw your attention to the petition below. This is an opportunity to voice your concerns regarding the Executive Order on Immigration & Refugees and its impact on AOM's activities. Hopefully will it feed into the policy review initiated by the AOM Board of Governors.

All the best,
Subject: AOM Petition to preserve the values of diversity and inclusion Dear all, As some of you may be aware, the President of the AOM issued a message stating that the Academy would not take a position regarding Trump's Executive Order on immigration and refugees. http://aom.org/About-AOM/Governance/AOM-President-s-Message-about-travel-restrictions-to-US.aspx Although that order has been overturned for now, it has still demonstrated how vulnerable the values of inclusion and diversity are in our flagship association. We understand why the President is taking this position. She is bound to a policy of non-partisanship, which, to her credit, she takes very seriously. However, such a development reveals that the Academy has serious structural and processual inadequacies which must be addressed. As such, Mahmood and I have written a petition for the Academy's executive board, which you can find here: https://www.change.org/p/president-mcgahan-preserve-the-values-of-inclusion-and-diversity-at-the-aom?recruiter=676733225&utm_source=share_petition&utm_medium=copylink If you agree with what we have written, please feel free to sign. And also feel free to circulate it among your academic peers. Many thanks! -- Joel Bothello Assistant Professor Department of Management John Molson School of Business, Concordia University
