    Hi all,

Elizabeth Wilson will begin her role as the founding director of the Arthur L. Irving Institute of Energy and Society at Dartmouth College. She is looking to fill three slots which could be quite exciting for the right candidates: (These are her descriptions):

Managing Director: This person will be the majordomo; keep all of the trains running on time, after first building the tracks and designing the hyperloop system! Experience working in a university environment and strong skills project development and management as well as organizational operations, grant writing and management,  budgeting, and establishing (and negotiating!) our internal and external policies. Work will be varied, creative, and consist of strategic, tactical, and operational aspects, with the program implementation components key. University experience and leadership key.  Expertise in energy and/or sustainable building construction a strong plus as we are first tasked with building our space.

Communications Director; We need someone creative and passionate about developing and telling the stories of Energy and Society in and across many different media platforms. How can we make our evolving energy conversations real and vital to students, community members, and  practitioners? How can we use the different communication tools to engage different communities in these exciting conversations? This person will be responsible for our social media and web presence and need to collaborate and coordinate closely with college communication offices and internal and external partners to develop new materials, publicize events, and disseminate research, programs and projects.

Personal Assistant: Arguably the most important person in any organization. We need someone to help us navigate the institutions, and make sure everything works well. Super problem-solver who loves to figure out new systems and make them work better.  Experience navigating university bureaucracies and working with faculty a huge plus!

Interested people should contact her directly: elizabeth@dartmouth.edu

    Best,
    Andy
