Dear Colleagues,
This Friday at noon eastern, The Bard MBA in Sustainability is launching a twice-monthly lunch-time dial-in conversation: Sustainable Business Fridays. The series is organized by members of Bard's Net Impact Chapter, and will feature sustainability leaders from the NYC area and across the planet.
For our inaugural event, please join the founders and designers of Gravity Light, Martin Riddiford and Jim Reeves. The Gravity Light is a practical, economical alternative to kerosene lamps still commonly used in developing countries. The light works by harnessing the power of gravity: cool video here.
Riddiford and Reeves made headlines recently by crowd-sourcing close to four hundred thousand dollars in capital for their project on indiegogo.
Call in Number: 719-325-2630.
Conference Code: 121 817 9596
Join us for this important conversation about designing to meet the needs of low income consumers in developing countries.
Sustainable Business Fridays convenes every first and third Friday of the month during the semester, with special guests selected by students in the Bard MBA in Sustainability program. Our second call will be on April 4th, with author and sustainability expert Bob Doppelt on "How to Rescue Your Life, The Planet and Your Organization." Watch for future announcements with the complete spring schedule.
Thanks for the work you are doing.
