Dear colleagues,
Due to my having received numerous requests for an extension of the deadline (currently Monday, December 8) for proposals for the
2009 IABS Conference, I have decided to extend the deadline for everyone to Thursday, December 18, 2008.
The 2009 IABS Conference will take place June 18-21, 2009 in Aspen/Snowmass, Colorado. The conference theme is "Thinking Like a Mountain: Nature, Humans, and Management." For additional conference information, please see the Call for Proposals on the IABS website (click here).
If you are interested in being a reviewer for the 2009 IABS Conference, please tell me your areas of interest/expertise. The current IABS reviewer database includes the following categories, but if you have any sustainability or environment-specific areas of interest/expertise (or other areas of interest/expertise), I would appreciate your telling me about those as well:
- Global challenges
- Corporate social responsibility
- Stakeholder theory
- Social performance / financial performance
- Business ethics
- Political strategy
- Business and government relations
- Human rights
- Corporate governance
- Cross-cultural issues
- Environmental affairs
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs)
- Corporate philanthropy
- Labor issues
Proposals for research incubator ideas, discussion ideas, papers, symposia, and workshops (ranging from 2-5 pages) will go out for review between now and Monday, December 22. (See the
Call for Proposals for more information about these proposal types.)
Thank you for your interest in the 2009 IABS Conference!
