Dear colleagues,
Those of you conducting research in the area of corporate social responsibility or decision-making may be interested in a new systematic review produced by NBS. Researchers Joe Arvai, Victoria Campbell-Arvai and Piers Steel at the University of Calgary reviewed the existing literature on
how people make sustainability-related decisions
in practice and the decision-support techniques currently available to better incorporate sustainability concerns into group and individual decision-making.
The goals of the review were (i) to provide insights to analysts and managers about the nature of human judgment and decision-making, particularly as it pertains to incorporating and addressing social and environmental concerns and (ii) to catalogue the available decision-support tools and techniques to more effectively facilitate decision-making for sustainability.
In total, 207 studies spanning more than 60 years were reviewed. The systematic review is available for download at:
http://nbs.net/wp-content/uploads/NBS-Systematic-Review-Decision-Making.pdf
