It is that time of year to seek nominations for the various team positions that make the Organizations and Natural Environment Division operate and succeed. I am writing to personally ask you to step forward and offer some of your time to the community. Honestly, it is fun and gratifying to get more involved in division governance with the excellent team that is already in place.
Javier Delgado-Ceballos (
jdc@ugr.es) will be leading the election process this year and it would make his job a whole lot easier if you email him directly with your interest in one of the following 7 team positions. For each position, we are looking for at least 2 nominees (and would really like to have more) for a 3 year term running from 8/12/2013 to 8/8/2016. Plus, you get to work with some really great ONE members who are staying as part each team!

DESCRIPTIONS:
The Program Team assists the Program Chair as directed, namely: conducts paper and symposia reviews beyond normal reviewer load; assists the Program Chair with the Best Paper selection and award process; and helps identify and develop special program events (e.g., theme sessions). Additional tasks may include assisting the Program Chair- Elect (PDW Chair) with doctoral consortia and junior faculty workshops; evaluating the year's PDW and regular programs; and making recommendations to the PDW and Program Chairs regarding future program activities.
The Communications Team is responsible for electronically publishing two ONE Newsletters per year - one in Fall and one in Spring, in addition to soliciting a 500 word ONE-related article for each Academy Newsletter published during the year. The team works in consultation with the Chair, ONE Web Administrator, and ONE AoM Connect Moderator to manage communications within ONE, and between ONE and the Academy. This includes gathering and publishing relevant news items - including research publications - to ONE members on a regular basis using various formats for communication (ONE newsletter; ONE-L; AoM Connect; the ONE home page on the World Wide Web). The team also coordinates communications to be posted on the All Academy News.
The Integration and Internationalization Team works to internationalize ONE membership and integrate environmental research into other Academy divisions and interest groups, and develops a specific initiative each year to expand ONE's international membership. Additional tasks may include fostering interaction with other academic organizations involved in ONE-related research and helping to educate ONE members about the concerns, interests and research of ONE members not based in North America.
The Membership and Nominations Team helps coordinate the annual nominations and election process for chaired, team and other open positions in ONE. It also develops and distributes materials to facilitate growth in ONE membership.
The Teaching Team promotes the exchange of teaching ideas, course materials, and other teaching-related information regarding environmental management in business education. The team is responsible for managing the selection process and award of the Best Dissertation. Other initiatives may include identifying and developing possible teaching- related topics for symposia and for PDW workshops; soliciting teaching related materials and coordinates posting on the ONE home page; and writing teaching related articles for ONE newsletter (e.g., spotlights a case or simulation).
The Greening Team assists the Academy Environmental Task Force Chair as directed to help green the Academy; works to improve the environmental performance of the Academy of Management by encouraging such practices as recycling, waste minimization, or electronic submissions; and helps develop materials and plans to educate ONE and other Academy members on how to green their home institutions.
The Awards Team is responsible for organizing the ONE award's process. The objective is to carry out the annual nominees and winners of the Best Book Award, Best Dissertation Award, Emerging Scholar Award, Best Paper Award, and Research Impact Award
