We would like to bring to your attention the following colloquium, part of the European Group of Organization Studies' (EGOS) conference:
Subtheme 56: Sustainability Transformations: Markets and (Re-) Valuations
EGOS 2014, Rotterdam (The Netherlands), July 3-5, 2014.
In this sub-theme we seek to convene scholars interested in valuation challenges in the construction and transformation of markets towards sustainable pathways, involving clean technologies, low carbon products, reduced footprints, healthy life styles, etc. Such transformation processes involve for example: attempts to recombine environmental, social, and/or economic value in ways that depart from the existing standards of valuation, and, efforts to dismantle established standards that have become built into the market structures during the historical process of their formation and use. We welcome contributions that examine successful and failed transformation pathways, and that highlight the collective and interdependent (re-)valuation processes.
The deadline for short paper submissions (3000 words) is January 13, 2014.
Convenors: Peter Karnøe (Aalborg University), Jeroen Struben (McGill University), and Liliana Doganova (MINES ParisTech)
