Greetings ONE Friends:
The Academy of Management meeting is less than one week away! On behalf of the ONE Executive Committee and Program Team, I wanted to write one last time with a few things for your consider.
First, I have produced again below the outline highlighting a few key ONE events. Please consult the AOM on-line program for a full list of great PDW workshops, paper sessions, discussion sessions, symposia, meetings and socials.
Second, I wanted to mention one potential challenge associated with the location of our sessions. While we are very fortunate to be centrally located in the Pennsylvania Convention Center along with many other divisions (note SIM is at the Loews), the meeting rooms in the Convention Center are quite large, with some holding 100-150. This is just the nature of that facility. As such, I would ask that when you attend and participate in one of our sessions, don't be surprised by the size of the room; please move to the first couple of rows to help create a more intimate and engaging environment. For those of you presenting or chairing sessions, please invite your attendees to come forward and help facilitate close interaction and dialogue.
Finally, be sure to join us for those sessions listed below, especially the business meeting at which we will provide updates on the division and announce several awards, including best dissertation, best book, emerging scholar, distinguished scholar, impact on research, best paper, and best reviewers, among others. And don't miss our off-site social at a great venue with views of Philadelphia old and new. As we mentioned in our last message, note that ONE PDWs begin at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and the ONE paper and symposium sessions run through Tuesday afternoon. This schedule of events gives ONE members a full range of times and topics from which to choose.
