Call for Papers on Sustainability in Business
NIDA International Business Conference 2016 aims to encourage discussions about research on sustainability in business. Sustainability in business is the coordination and integration of environmental, financial, and social concerns in order to establish a responsible, ethical and long-term business success. However, increased global competition, new technology innovation and knowledge, fluctuations in prices and changing consumer demands, new market developments, and changing government policies and attitudes has created substantial new opportunities as well as uncertainties which firms must incorporate into their coordination and integration of their environmental, financial, and social concerns. Questions arise as to how should firms address these new developments and uncertainties in order to maintain and/or enhance their sustainability practices? How effective are firms' sustainability practices on their long-term business success? How do firm's sustainability business practices impact consumer behavior, values, and social structure? How can the tradeoffs between financial and non-financial performance among firms be better managed? How can sustainability accounting be better utilized by firms and stakeholders?
The NIDA International Business Conference 2016 invites paper contributions that represent original, interesting, and theoretically bold research, as well as innovative empirical studies on sustainability in business. As reflected in the theme of the conference, there are several potential areas in how research on sustainability in business can be addressed:
