Greetings, ONE Members (and if you are not a ONE member, please join!);
The 2016 Annual Meeting is sneaking up on us – it is now under four months away. Preparations for the meeting have been underway for some time, but of course many of you know this because you have been involved in it in a number of ways – preparing and submitting manuscripts, acting as reviewers, and volunteering with the ONE Division in some capacity. Thank you for all of your efforts!
The ONE Program this year promises to be exciting and stimulating. We have a terrific set of papers and symposia lined up. As Program Chair, one of my favorite jobs so far has been grouping the papers together – it is challenging to create sessions, but a lot of fun to think about ways to connect the varied work that ONE scholars produce. This year, we will have 17 paper sessions and will be sponsor or co-sponsor of 8 symposia. The papers represent great diversity in theory, phenomena, methods, and geography, and I expect that ONE scholars will be able to find sessions that they truly find meaningful.
In the coming weeks, I will send out occasional emails highlighting some parts of the program. Today, I want to bring your attention to our Plenary session on Monday, August 8 from 9:30 – 11:00 AM (location within the Marriott TBA). The theme for this year's Plenary is especially fitting for our Southern California meeting – "Water: The Rising Crisis." We have a fantastic panel of academics and practitioners lined up to discuss both research and practice in this critical topic. Please plan to join us for this important piece of the program. Details are on the ONE website:

The home hotel for ONE this year is the Anaheim Marriott. As of today, there was still a little space available at that hotel, as well as others nearby, but the hotels are filling quickly. To make your reservations, go to the AOM Housing website:

Thank you again for all you do to make ONE an exciting and welcoming part of the AOM.
