Dear members of the ONE division,
As the year is getting closer to its end, the deadline for the next AoM conference is getting nearer. I hope you are all preparing great papers and proposals for symposia. The submission system is now open: http://aom.org/annualmeeting/submission/
Besides taking part by presenting during the conference, there are also other ways to get more involved in the ONE division:
Become an ONE associate editor - Each year, the program chair selects the papers and symposia proposals to be included in the program. In doing so, the chair receives excellent support from a team of associate editors that help in making the difficult decisions based on the reviews. Becoming an associate editor is an excellent way to get a better understanding of the formidable task of creating the AoM program. If you would like to take on the role of associate editor please send me an e-mail before December 5, 2016 (onedivision.aom@gmail.com or jonatan.pinkse@manchester.ac.uk).
Become an ONE reviewer – As you all know, developing a great program depends on great reviews written by great reviewers. It would be great if all of you could sign up as reviewer for the ONE division. If you submit a paper, it would be much appreciated of course if you also become a reviewer. But, even if you might not attend this year's conference, it would still be great if you can become a reviewer. The system to sign up as reviewer is now open: http://review.aom.org/
Become an ONE social ambassador – For some of you it might be a long time ago, but there was a first time for everyone. When you first attend the AoM conference it can be quite overwhelming and it is easy to get lost. This year the ONE division wants to do more to help those who attend for the first time, or, if not for the first time, those who would like to meet more people in the field of environmental sustainability to get into contact with the ONE people. While we have the Doctoral and Junior Faculty consortium, we would also like to provide more opportunities for networking during our social events. To actively help bringing people together, we are looking for people in the ONE community who would like to be one of our ONE social ambassadors. If you would like to take on the role of social ambassador please send me an e-mail (onedivision.aom@gmail.com or jonatan.pinkse@manchester.ac.uk).
If you have any other idea or suggestion to make the 2017 ONE program a great one, please let me know. We are very open to new ideas, formats, etc.
Best regards,
Jonatan Pinkse
