Dear ONE Friends and Colleagues,
As provided in the most recent newsletter, the ONE website is more
dynamic, more interactive than ever before, and best of all, it allows
you to contribute to the content - Link:
http://one.aom.org/
The communication flow among members is no longer limited to the ONE-L
postings and three yearly newsletters. Now, the website allows us to
make news and other important announcements stand out, including the
option to add pictures and interactive media to your announcements.
Whether you would like to post a call for papers for an upcoming
conference, a job announcement, or simply share some news, the website
has made it easy to post and share up-to-date content. We would like to
encourage you to start posting your own content.
Below we describe four easy steps to upload your own content to the ONE
website:
(1) Choose – You can choose between two pages to upload the content –
either “Online Resources” or “News”. If you wish to upload content
related to teaching resources, publishing, job announcements, and call
for papers, click on the tab on the top “Online Resources”. If you wish
to enter some recent news not related to the above-mentioned items,
click on the “News” tab in the same row.
(2) Add – Once you have landed on either page (“Online Resources” or
“News”), click on the box “Add” on the upper right-hand side. Depending
on the page you are on, the tab will state “Add Resources” or “Add News”
(3) Upload– Fill out all the required fields, include an image from
your own files, and a detailed description of your post, which you can
cut and paste from a word document using the CTRL + C and CTRL + V
commands. Make sure that you upload an image (not required but it does
make the post visually more appealing) and entered all the content
correctly before the next step.
(4) Submit – Finally, click on the “Submit” button at the bottom and
that's it. Your contribution will not be posted immediately. It stills
needs to be confirmed by the website administrator, Miguel Valls, or the
communications team. If you have discovered an error in sending it,
please email the communications team, Matthew Johnson
(
johnson@uni.leuphana.de), Michelle Heyn (
mlinhoff@umn.edu) or Janet
Palmer (
j.palmer@griffith.edu.au).
And, it is as simple as that! The communications team will be monitoring
the flow of content on a continual basis, and providing more frequent
and up-to-date newsletters related to the content that you provide on
the website. If you have any questions about how the communications team
can help you, please email either Michelle, Matthew, or Janet anytime.
We look forward to seeing your content on the newly revamped ONE website
and we thank you for your support!
Sincerely,
Your ONE Communications Team
Michelle, Janet and Matthew
