    Greetings,

    I'd like to bring your attention to an upcoming workshop on Stakeholder Strategy for advanced doctoral students and junior faculty at the 2016 SMS in Berlin, Germany on September 17th. The deadline is August 12, 2016 (see: http://strategicmanagement.net/berlin/workshops/stakeholder-strategy-workshop).


    Workshop Information 

    The Stakeholder Strategy Interest Group (IG) is pleased to offer a research-focused workshop for advanced doctoral students and junior faculty at the 2016 Strategic Management Society Meeting in Berlin, Germany. This workshop will include panel discussions and breakout sessions. For the panel portion, senior faculty members will discuss the state of the field and new research directions, as well as opportunities for publishing stakeholder, sustainability, and social issues in management research in top tier journals. Junior faculty members will also share their thoughts on these issues and discuss their research and publishing experiences to-date. We will then have time for Q&A for all panelists. In the remaining time, we will have a breakout session where participants can gain personalized guidance on individual research and career questions from participating faculty.

    The George Washington School of Business, Department of Strategic Management and Public Policy

    The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB) invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Strategic Management and Public Policy starting as early as the Fall of 2017. We invite applications from scholars conducting high quality research that is targeted at top-tier research journals in the strategy, organization theory or public policy area. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses in the strategic management area, broadly defined.  New tenure track faculty members ordinarily have a three course teaching load and summer support through the tenure decision.

    Our department is committed to rigorous and high-impact scholarly work from a variety of methodological and theoretical perspectives, including strategy, business ethics, public policy, corporate social responsibility, and organization theory. Our faculty members have published in the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, Public Administration Review, Strategic Management Journal, and others.     Basic Qualifications: Applicants for this position must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. or other terminal degree in business or a closely related field by the date of appointment.  Applicants must have demonstrated potential for success in scholarship as evidenced by research, teaching, and service in the area of strategic management, business ethics, public policy, corporate social responsibility, and/or environmental sustainability.
