    In 2012, Kaiser Permanente committed to a 30% reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2020. This represented a major shift in the corporate policies of an industry leader to include sustainability as part of its core competencies. This case explores the business decisions behind Kaiser Permanente's move into renewable energy and depicts the complex systems that play a role in developing policies and actions toward sustainability within a large organization.
