Appointment
Diane L. Swanson, Professor of Management and Endowed Chair in Business at Kansas State University, has been appointed to the Ethics Education Committee of the Academy of Management, which is part of the Academy's Ethics Committee. The Ethics Education Committee's mandate is to focus members' attention on the Academy's Code of Ethics and how it pertains to research, teaching, and professional life in the Academy and beyond. The goals of the committee include establishing a dialogue with members to build an understanding of the ethical issues they face. The committee has identified five thematic areas in the Academy's Code of Ethics that can be used as points of reference for this dialogue: (1) Global Membership, (2) Scholar-Practitioners in Management and Consulting Professions, (3) Communication and Data in the Digital Age, (4) Scholars as Role Models, and (5) the Publication Process.
