    Dear Colleagues,

Today is the last day to nominate for this year's Nobel Peace Prize.  A proposal has been put forth to jointly nominate The Club of Rome, Herman Daly, and the Pope in the field of Ecological Economics for a Nobel Peace Prize in Sustainable Development and your support is needed.  The proposal at NP4SD.org is deserving of your quick review (it's only a page long proposal & flyer attached here) and either your nomination or your endorsement.  The relevant criteria for doing the stronger 'nomination' includes all...

"University professors, professors emeriti and associate professors of history, social sciences, law, philosophy, theology, and religion; university rectors and university directors (or their equivalents);"

Please do this right away.  For the Peace Prize to be awarded in this way would be an excellent counterbalance to the decidedly unsustainable directions that the current presidential administration is committing us to.  Go to the website at NP4SD.org and click on the menu item Nominate/Endorse then pick the one appropriate for you.  The proposal is right there and it takes less than a minute to fill in the boxes to submit your nomination or endorsement.

Do list your Title and Affiliation, along with whatever salient details of your work you feel inclined to.  The field allows 256 characters so you can get a lot in there.  The Nobel Committee will likely be looking to see the bona fides of those who have nominated.

    Best,
    Nancy Landrum
