    Good afternoon colleagues

My colleagues and I here at the University of Minnesota Duluth are beginning the process of developing a sustainability initiative in the Labovitz School of Business and Economics – presumably in the form of one or more courses in sustainability for Undergraduate business students.  It is in that context that I seek you help and assistance.  If you teach a course in sustainability, I would appreciate receiving a copy of your syllabus.  Additionally, if you have any reflections on the process of developing your course or program, I'd appreciate hearing your insights into what you were glad you did or what you wish you'd done differently.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Yours truly,

    Geoffrey G. Bell, Ph.D.

    Hi Geoff,

There are a number of excellent syllabi already posted on the Academy's web site for ONE.  I will attach my latest on grounds course, but I am not sure the list-server software will allow it.  The AASHE site also has some good info about starting up a program.  You are welcome to ask your colleague to contact me directly.

    Hi Geoff,

If any of your colleagues are interested in establishing a Marketing and Sustainability course, myself and Frank Belz from Germany published the book 'Sustainability Marketing: A Global Perspective' pitched largely at undergraduate level (it includes illustrative cases, suggested discussion questions etc).

The book is backed up by teaching materials via the Wiley Website, and we are now running a blog of issues and cases that might tickle students' interests to further support it as well.

    Details are at www.sustainability-marketing.com

    Best wishes,

    Ken.
