    The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) and the Cooperative Institute for Climate and Satellites – North Carolina (CICS-NC), which is largely supported through a grant from NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), welcomes your attendance at the second Executive Forum on Business and Climate.

    Dates: November 4-5, 2013

    Venue: Hotel Monaco, 700 F. St. Washington, DC 20004

    RSVP: Joe Casola (casola@c2es.org)

    Speakers include:

    • Amy Snover, Director of the Climate Impacts Group, University of Washington
    • John Firth, CEO and Co-Founder of Acclimatise;
    • Otis Brown, Director of CICS-NC;
    • Andy Hoffman, Director of the Erb institute, University of Michigan
    • John Macomber, Senior Lecturer,   Harvard Business School;
    • and private sector participants from American Water, Entergy, Alstom, Shell, DuPont and many others

    Building off of the recommendations in C2ES's Weathering the Storm report on business resilience, the Forum is a 2-day knowledge exchange seminar and networking activity built around discussions on climate-related risks and opportunities for private sector businesses. We will explore observed and projected climate impacts on the private sector, the process of assessing vulnerabilities and opportunities, the prioritization of risk management options, and the availability and adequacy of decision-support tools.
