Faculty Position – Corporate Environmental Management

The Bren School of Environmental Science and Management (www.bren.ucsb.edu) invites applications for a position in Corporate Environmental Management. The level of appointment is open and appointments at the Professor or Associate Professor level carry tenure in the University of California system. Corporate Environmental Management is a specialization within the Masters of Environmental Science and Management as well as part of the PhD program at the Bren School. The position would begin July 1, 2011.
We are interested in scholars engaged in innovative research regarding strategies that firms employ in areas such as environmental product differentiation and cost reduction, government regulation and compliance, interaction with environmental NGO's and other stakeholders, and broader environmental corporate and public policy. Applicants are expected to be dedicated teachers, to have a strong research agenda, and to publish in leading peer-reviewed journals. All applicants must have a PhD by July 1, 2011.
The Bren School is a graduate school providing rigorous, multi-disciplinary research and education in environmental science and management for Masters and Ph.D. students. The faculty is drawn from the natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, and management. As such, collaborative research and teaching across disciplines is expected. Other opportunities include outreach activities with the business community and participation in Eco-entrepreneurship, a curriculum offered in collaboration with the Technology Management Program in the College of Engineering.
