We hope you can join us at an 'All Academy Symposium' dedicated to the emergence
of 'Cleantech'. We will engage two prominent cleantech venture capital investors
and a panel of management scholars in a discussion of the problems, processes,
and payoffs that cleantech offers.
A high profile venture capital investor recently proclaimed that cleantech "is
the greatest opportunity of the 21st century." Clean technologies attack some
of the world?s biggest environmental problems with financially driven
solutions. They seek to revolutionize industrial production by substantially
reducing energy consumption, waste, and pollution. Thus, they offer a unique
opportunity for business and investors to ?do well by doing good?.
Cleantech affords a valuable setting in which to study the phenomenon of
technology field emergence at the nexus of innovation, technology and the
environment. Panelists will bring perspectives from ENT, ONE, TIM and OMT to
cleantech and engage in a lively discussion with two venture capital investors.
