Request for teaching resources and info on programs

    Hello fellow ONE members!

Many of you have lamented the lack of information exchange on the ONE
website. I would like to rectify this, but I need your help! I am
attempting to assemble information that will be useful for business
faculty interested in incorporating sustainability into their courses. The
more detail that you can provide to me, the more useful this will be for
all of us. (I’m aware of the Aspen resources, but I’m looking for a bit
more detail). I will be organizing and posting this information on the
web and linking it to the ONE website.

Please send your information directly to me, not the list!
    sbertels@stanfordalumni.org

I am looking for the following:

    Cases:
What are your favourite sustainability related cases? For each case that
you suggest: Where can people find it? How do you incorporate it into your
course? Are there teaching notes? What kind of discussion arises from the
    case?

    Assignments:
What sustainability related assignments have you tried? How did it work?
Please share the actual assignment, your grading rubric and any comments
about changes you make depending on class size, etc.

    Reading list:
What are the “must include” items on your course reading list? Why is it
on your reading list and what does it contribute to the course and the
    resulting course discussions?

    Incorporating sustainability into your courses:
Please share your experiences with incorporating sustainability into
traditional business courses or creating electives or specialty courses.

Incorporating sustainability into the overall curriculum:
For those of you at schools where sustainability has made it into the
overall program, please tell us how it came about and what form it takes.
Is it a specialization? Is it part of the core? Has it been added as a
separate course or integrated into several courses, if so, which ones and
    how?

    Resources:
Last but not least, please pass on any other resources or websites that
you find useful for developing assignments, class activities, etc.

Hi Stephanie. Great idea. In case you're not aware of it, here's a source of some relevant syllabi, as listed on the International Association for Business & Society (IABS) website, and maintained by Dan Greening:

Dear Stephanie and the many of you who have lamented the lack of info
    exchange on the ONE website:

Please look for information from Nardia Haigh in the the upcoming
newsletter and in future announcements about the new format and
reconstruction of the ONE website. Nardia has diligently dealt with
roadblocks since last summer and recently made substantial improvements
that she shared with the officers and newsletter folks (Virginia Gerde and
Ann Feyerherm). The revisions to the website and the newsletter look
great. I would also ask any of you collecting information useful to the
entire ONE membership, as Stephanie is, to work with Nardia to get the
information and connections onto the revised ONE website.

Also note that ONE will be soliciting nominations for officer and team
positions in the near future. If there is something about ONE you would
like to improve I would urge you to please step forward during the
nomination process and make your mark on ONE.

    Thanks

    Mark Cordano
