    ACEEE is a great organization and puts on very useful conferences. They
    make you pay for registration even if you're selected to speak, but if
    history is any guide I can attest that the level of discourse makes it
    worthwhile.

    Behavior, Energy and Climate Change (BECC) Conference:
    Poster Abstracts Due Oct. 3; Regular Registration Fees End Oct. 8; and
    Full Program Now Available

    We hope you can attend the BEHAVIOR, ENERGY AND CLIMATE CHANGE (BECC)
    CONFERENCE scheduled for November 7 - 9, 2007 at the Radisson Hotel in
    Sacramento, California. Poster abstracts are due Wednesday, October 3rd
    and the regular conference registration and special hotel rates both end
    on October 8th. The full preliminary program is now available online. We
    encourage you to register as soon as possible because the conference is
    likely to sell out.

    THE BECC CONFERENCE is the first national conference focused on
    understanding the behavior and decision making of individuals and
    organizations and on using that knowledge to help accelerate our
    transition to an energy-efficient and low-carbon economy. It is being
    convened by ACEEE, the California Institute for Energy and Environment,
    University of California and the Precourt Institute for Energy

    POSTER ABSTRACTS DUE OCT. 3: The conference will include a Poster
    Display the evening of November 8 at the conference reception. We
    welcome you to share your research or work during this session. Full

    REGISTER BY OCTOBER 8: There is a great deal of interest and excitement
    about the first BECC Conference and it is likely to sell out. We
    encourage you to register as soon as possible. The regular registration
    fee of $300 will be offered through Monday, October 8. After that, a
    late fee will be in effect, raising the rate to $350. You may register
    online or download a copy of the registration form at

    SPECIAL HOTEL RATE ENDS OCTOBER 8: Make reservations at the Radisson
    Hotel by calling the hotel directly at (916) 922-2020 or 1-800-333-3333

    reduced rate of $119 Single/Double Occupancy.
