Dear colleague, as you may know, we are launching a new Ph.D./D.B.A. Program in Values-Driven Leadership at Benedictine University, to begin April 1, 2011. The program is the first of its kind designed specifically for senior leaders innovating in the areas of leadership, sustainability, and CSR. It allows executives to explore how they can make great companies greater by optimizing financial performance, ethical practice, social contribution, and environmental impact.
The program is unique because:
1. It connects students with the latest research and practice on leadership, org change, sustainability, and CSR.
2. Students are in the room with their peers, other senior leaders innovating around leadership, sustainability, and CSR.
3. Courses are taught by a "dream team" of top visiting scholars, executives, and thought leaders from around the globe.
4. It's convenient (even for those who commute long distances) and tailored to fulltime-working executives. Courses are held in Chicago one weekend per month (Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday) for two years. In the third year, students complete their dissertations with no need to come to class.
5. Students choose their degree, the more scholarly-oriented Ph.D. or the more application-focused D.B.A. In either case, they can focus their course work and dissertation directly on the work they are doing in their organizations.
