    Dear ONE and ENT Members;

     

    If you have not seen it yet, GE is hosting an Environmental Business Plan Challenge in cooperation with Dow Jones.  The competition is open to the public, but they are interested in getting submissions from student teams.  Please see below for the details.  On a related note, the deadline for intent to compete forms for the CU Leeds School's Sustainable Venturing Business Plan Competition is November 21.  See http://leeds.colorado.edu/entrep/interior.aspx?id=295,411,484,1889 for further information.  Best, Tom

    GE and Dow Jones are inviting students across the United Sates to submit their eco-friendly business ideas at www.dowjones.com/ge. All submissions must be entered online. 

    • The winner will receive  $50,000 in seed money to further his or her business idea.
    • The winner will be honored at an event hosted by GE and Dow Jones.
    • Four finalists and the winner will be profiled in print ads in Barron's, Smart Money and the Wall Street Journal and on WSJ.com, SmartMoney.com and MarketWatch.com.  

     

    To enter, participants must submit their business plan ideas through the contest website, dowjones.com/ge, from October 15th through December 15th, 2005.

    Details including complete judging criteria, official rules and eligibility requirements are available online.

     

    GE and Dow Jones are committed to supporting environmentally conscious business ventures. We hope that you will help us to get the word out about this business plan challenge.
