  • 1.  MNE strategies in emerging market economies

    Dear Colleagues,

     

    Do you know of a video which glorifies globalization?  I am looking for a film that showcases corporate strategies of MNEs in terms of their investment and expansion in emerging market economies.  In particular, I am looking for a story that narrates how economic liberalization in developing countries have supported corporate strategies of MNEs in those economies, and how those MNE investments have further contributed to those nations' economic development (and poverty reduction) through employment generation, technology transfer, and enhanced industrial standards etc. Please recommend if you know of such a video. Thank you.

    Dear Aarti,

    While you seek a video that "glorifies globalization" for the corporate strategies that you cite, do you happen to have a bibliography of texts and articles that does this as well. If so, could you share that with the list?

    I am sorry I don't have such a list ready with me as yet. I have just started and am working towards building up my pool of resources in this area. Once I have developed it, I will compile a list and will be happy to share it.

    Have you tried the Cato instute or Hoover institute web pages - they both have large archives of pro-corporate talks and articles that are downloadable.
