UNIVERSITY OF VICTORIA - The Faculty of Business is seeking to fill a tenure
track position (rank open) in Sustainability / Business & Society. The
ability to teach Strategy and an interest in one of our areas of
specialization-International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Service
Management-will be considered assets.
Applicants for these positions should have earned a PhD (or be ABD) and have
a record of teaching and research that is commensurate with their
experience. Our interest is in attracting highly motivated researchers,
capable of publishing in top research journals, to add to the already
vibrant research community at the Faculty of Business. While we are open to
all types of research, our desire is to reinforce our three areas of
specialization: international business, entrepreneurship, and service
management.
Our teaching orientation is international, integrative, innovative, and
experiential. We emphasize an experiential approach that includes a
mandatory co-op program for all students, international exchanges and
overseas co-op work opportunities. In line with this approach, a candidate's
business experience would be highly valued.
Aside from the research and teaching community, Victoria is located in one
of the most beautiful parts of Canada. We enjoy a very moderate west coast
climate with an active cultural scene as well as easy access to all types of
outdoor activities.
Send a letter of application with curriculum vitae, appropriate evidence of
research and teaching skill, and three references to: Dr. Ali Dastmalchian,
Dean, Faculty of Business, University of Victoria, PO Box 1700, STN CSC,
